WDTC drug collection sites offer quick convenience for drivers

Preferred drug test collection sites minimize downtime and hassle

Assisting employers and their drivers with scheduling and completing drug and alcohol tests is a big part of what we do at Wisconsin Drug Testing Consortium (WDTC). A key benefit of accessing the drug test collection sites in our network is the significant amount of time saved compared to completing tests at major medical facilities.

Approximately 80 percent of our 17,000 drug testing centers across the USA are smaller, independent drug test collection sites that feature convenient parking and walk-in service. Our goal is to help drivers minimize downtime and get back on the road as quickly as possible.

If you have ever tried parking a big rig anywhere near a hospital or other major medical facility, you know how much the extra walking alone adds to your time commitment. And that’s not even taking into account the 45-90 minute waits that are common before the driver can provide a specimen.

“There is no reason a driver should need to be at a drug test collection site for more than 30 minutes,” states WDTC president Mike Bray. “We like to say, ‘If you’re ready to do your job, we’re ready to do ours.’

Electronic service eliminates paperwork and aids compliance

Drivers need only bring the barcode or order number provided on their phone to their appointment at WDTC-affiliated drug test collection sites. Printed copies also work, but are not necessary. Our team communicates the location of the nearest drug test collection site to the employer, and the driver receives the address, directions and appointment time on their phone.

The resulting electronic record removes the driver from dealing with paperwork regarding their test, while enhancing convenience for the employer in keeping records and remaining compliant with the DOT.

WDTC drug test collection sites work with most of the major labs in the country, and we will coordinate with whichever lab their third-party administrator (TPA) favors. Our list of approved labs includes Alere/eScreen, Quest, Clinical Reference Laboratories (CRL), Medtox and Lab Corp.

Our Green Bay, Appleton and Oshkosh, Wisconsin, drug test collection sites feature fully vaccinated staffs, further ensuring driver safety compared to spending time at a major medical facility.
